Stringed Instrument Technician - Gloucestershire Music
This is a rare opportunity to join our wonderful team at Colwell Arts Centre in Gloucester and work in our extensive instrument workshop. We are looking for someone to work 3 days a week alongside our Wind Technician repairing, maintaining and preparing instrumental stock for our Whole Class Instrumental Sets, Instrument Hire Scheme and Private Repair services.
We are looking for a strings specialist but a candidate who could lend their hand to help maintain a range of instruments when needed would be desirable.
Gloucestershire Music is part of Gloucestershire County Council and is the largest delivery partner for Make Music Gloucestershire, the County's Music Education Hub. We aim to make music accessible for all young people and provide high quality opportunities for all to access. Your role as part of our team would be an integral and important one that helps us to ensure we deliver on our commissioned work for the Hub and for our traded service as an instrument hire scheme.
Please read the Job Profile for specifics of the role in the linked job advert. This role is currently advertised as a 1 year fixed term role and part time, but as we our finding an increase in demand for our services there is certainly scope for this contract to be extended.
