World Premiere for Cheltenham Remembers Concert


Join us on Thursday 25th October for our musical remembrance and commemoration of 100 years since the end of WWI.

On Thursday 25th October, Gloucestershire Music (Local Authority Music Service) and the Cheltenham Trust will be joining forces to commemorate 100 years since the end of WWI.  This short concert will include performances by the Gloucestershire Youth Choir, Gloucestershire Youth Orchestra, Gloucestershire Intermediate String Ensemble, Balcarras School, Gloucestershire Deaf Association, Paul Whittaker and the combined bands of the Gloucestershire Symphonic Wind Orchestra and the Gloucestershire Youth Wind Orchestra.

Special Commission - join us for a world premiere.

As part of the concert there will be performances by the Gloucestershire Youth Orchestra and Choir of a new commission from the pen of local composer Jonathan Trim. Severn Meadows is based on a poems by Ivor Gurney and will receive its premiere during this event.
