New Year Resolution?  Get Training

Gloucestershire music has some great training opportunities in 2019 for music teachers and local musicians.  Have a look .....

Conducting Training.  Sunday 6th January.

Join us on Sunday 6th January for a free conductors training session led by Tom Davoren and discussion on youth music programmes with guest speakers from Holland and Lithuania.   Whilst the focus is mainly on the youth brass band conductor we are sure you will pick up one or two tips.  Full details and registration form is here

Learn to improvise.  Sunday 27th January.

Join Pete Martin and Tessa Frye as they lead a full day of improvisation training.  This course is open to local musicians, teachers who are experienced or absolute beginners at jazz and GM members (£30 for the day).  Full details and registration are here

More conducting training.  Saturday 2nd March.
Juan Jose Navarro (Conducting professor from the Almeria Conservatoire of Music) will be visiting GM on Saturday 2nd March along with the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines for a day or workshops with our adult and youth wind bands.   Juan will be leading a day of conducting training for GM Directors whilst our adult and youth bands are put through their paces with the help of the Royal marines.  Full details and times to follow but please put this date in your diary.
