We are delighted to be able to partially reopen Colwell Arts Centre from the 26th April 2021 on a strict appointment-only basis. To collect, return or exchange an instrument, please contact us at glosmusic@gloucestershire.gov.uk to make an appointment.

 

Whilst we are unable to provide you with our normal music lessons, music centres, county music groups and events due to Government restrictions we are putting our efforts into providing you with some educational, fun, inspiring links to enable you to keep your music making going! National Children's Choir of Great Britain - audition applications open

Auditions are for entry into both the Junior Choir (upper voices age 9 – Year 9) and the Senior Choir (SATB, girls Year 10+ and boys with changed voices).  The choirs meet twice a year, at Easter and in the summer, for 6 day residential courses.

Candidates will be asked to perform one song from memory, with piano accompaniment provided by an NCCGB pianist.  They will also do some aural tests including musical memory tests, singing chords and sight singing.  Including time to warm up with the pianist, the audition will take 30 minutes.
