BOOK NOW - deadline 1st December for applications for the Llangrannog Music Residential Course
April 11th - 14th 2018

news

GM’s new four-day residential course is only 6 months away.  We have linked up with tutors from the LEAP Ensemble (Birmingham Conservatoire’s Learning & Participation Ensemble) who will be leading our residential course in April.  For those of you who have already worked alongside the LEAP tutors you will know it will be a great four days of music making.

Members of all GM groups will be eligible for a preferential rate and we are encouraging all our music centre members to attend one of the 3 courses we are offering.  There is a junior course for those graded 3 - 5, a senior course for grade 6+ and a choir course that will all run simultaneously.

What will we be doing?
The course will be designed around the musicians who attend with new repertoire being designed to meet your needs.  There will be opportunities to Explore new repertoire, chamber music, full band and orchestral sessions.  Technicalclasses and workshops from GM tutors and LEAP musicians will be offered alongside Recital opportunities for advanced musicians.  Outdoor adventures including go karting, swimming and archery will be offered under the guidance of the Urdd* staff.  There is even an ice cream shop by the beach!

There will be time for those (in exam years) to take time out to revise. All meals and transport to and from Gloucester are covered. It is hoped the final day will lead to a recording of all the performances so that you can share this with family and friends.

*Llangrannog Residential Centre is part of the Urdd Association, a movement providing residential camps to young people.
Their staff are fully qualified and will provide extra support to the music tutors from GM and the LEAP Ensemble.
